Man, I so love the art on this shirt. I WANT it.

But, Scarlet? ugh.

I suppose I'm just not man enough to wear it.

I agree 100%. To me, the scarlet red shirt reminds me of a Wal*Mart or Target shirt, it's kinda cheap looking. And on top of that, the Red ink doesn't do the artwork justice. Horrible decision, IMO by Threadless to print the shirt Red on Red.

it does get lost, don't it.

but in a way, it looks like it used to be black but has faded into the shirt color.

it's the perfect shade for that.

I bet it looks so much better in person.

Is it wrong that I don't like my own shirt? (Future Fancy Dress is so much better)

Unfortunately I agree with all of you on this.

It just doesn't look that good red on red. When I originally designed it I thought the best colour schemes would be the design a darker shade than the shirt colour, then later I experimented a bit with contrasting colours and came up with these:

T-Less decided to go with my original red on red though, and in a way I can see why. It has that 'mission to mars' futuristic effect... unfortunately I don't think it gets pulled off.

I can only hope that they might consider printing the next batch on either a brown shirt with a baby blue design, or a purple shirt with a yellow design.

-not only that, they already had a light blue shirt (mine, and it really only worked on light blue) and a yellow, which maybe was too close to your natural offer...so maybe that's why they chose the red....

l; agree that the ink needs to be darker than the shirt...the boy/balloon looks weird otherwise...negative like. so.

yeah, it does look like a negative if the print is lighter than the shirt...

maybe a grey/black shirt?

or brown and black?

maybe you wouldnt see that one as well.

i love the color scheme at is it, it makes the shirt look well-worn, which goes nicely with the concept of the illustration. its one of my favorite shirts...
