I'm super used to hurricanes, but never dealt with tornados.

I didn't work tonight, a huge tree got ripped out of the ground near by and knocked out power for a main strip of downtown... About 10 restaurants had to close, and then 2 hours later it was sunny out.

I was driving home from my day shift during part of it, lightning and hail was attacking me all the way home.

Glad you're OK. I had a teacher once that went through a tornado. She rolled herself up in a rug and got under a coffee table. (not sure the reasoning there). It ripped her roof off and tore her wedding ring off her finger, but apparently her coffee table didn't budge. Must have been Amish furniture.

A Lowes in a town near by was completely destroyed, several different towns around us are devastated...

My roommate and I saw tons of insulation scattered around town, apparently it was picked up a couple of towns over (50+ miles away) and dropped back down... Apparently hundreds of peoples' homes have been completely destroyed.

That's terrible. My thoughts will go out to all those people.

I was born then. I'm old. We don't have tornado here often. Just 9 months of winter, 3 months bad sledding.
