Ok, so a few seconds ago, I was typing this comment to add to my Little Miss Sunshine submission:

Hmm... my usual neurotic paranoia is starting to set in. hahah Even though I'm still well within the normal submission pending period, I'm getting worried that maybe my design will be rejected because of the cancer comment :/ I'm mainly worried, because it seems the last of the "Little Miss Sunshine" submissions have been posted, and mine wasn't included :O

Then, literally a few SECONDS after I wrote that, I went to check my email, and sure enough, REJECTION. x___x

Because I'm terrible, haha, it didn't even occur to me at the time that it might be potentially offensive, but thinking generally (and, since it's for a contest about a third party), I'm sure that it's probably not the best idea. haha D'ohhh. Ahh well, another design to be put in the vault, until I have enough money to print it myself. haha

...hmm, or MAYBE it was because it didn't meet the aesthetic design standards? :/ I mean, okay, I am super harsh on myself and tend to put myself/my work down whenever possible, but YIKES. Seeing some of the [less than desirable] designs that go up for voting, I really hope it wasn't the look of the design that got it rejected, cuz man, if that's the case... man. haha

To anyone that may have been offended by my cancer comment, rest assured, I meant no harm!! :/ I've known some people afflicted with cancer (my mom included), so I wasn't implying that people with cancer deserve to DIE or anything like that! and if you were offended, I apologize. It's interesting, cuz I was actually writing a future blog post, about a similar topic. So I'll just copy and paste it here: often people seem to confuse a joke about a topic, regardless of the context, as a personal insult those related to the topic. Perhaps some may do it with ill intent, but my humor style (or lack thereof) is never about putting people down, just pointing out ridiculous situations and self deprecation :D

But aaaanyhoo, regardless, I completely understand why my submission was rejected, and once again, I apologize if it offended anyone.
