I'm a vegetarian. I'm not as offended as some others here, but the shirt does bother me a little for reasons that I'm not about to get into here.

I just wanted to point out a very common and upsetting misconception. Some folks here referred to vegetarians or PETA making nasty/mean comments about meat eaters. This does not happen. We make plenty of mean-spirited comments about the corporations that farm livestock, but not about meat eaters. We want people to stop eating meat, so obviously we're not going to attack them. We don't protest outside of people's houses because they're having steak for dinner. We protest outside of places like KFC and McDonald's. We don't hold signs saying "You suck if you eat meat". We have no interest in directing our anger towards those who eat meat. Yet plenty of folks have no problem with making fun of vegetarians and vegans.

I totally agree with that. I just try to remember that people are more inclined to debate or make fun of the things that they hear other people making fun of, and most of the time they can't even back up their own comments. I'm not a vegetarian but that doesn't mean I go overboard when I eat meat. Some animals I refuse to eat. But any lifestyle..whether it be a vegan, vegetarian, or meat one has its pros and cons.

im a vegetarian and not a hypocrytical one. but i am thinking about buying this shirt. its a joke- we all know that vegetarians eating more veggies isnt gonna hurt a thing. for me though its to humor some of my guy friends because they dont agree with me being a vegetarian and try to make up all this hilariously unbelievable stuff about how carrots and potatoes have feelings too. i guess i could get all offended about it but i can see the humor in it and the thing that makes me stand out i guess is that im not embarresed to make jokes about myself. but i sort of understand you. and PETA rocks btw.

I totally agree. People like to ridicule me whenever I mention I'm a vegetarian, but it's just my personal choice. I never preach about my views and I hate the whole vegetarian stereotype. I'm also not offended by this shirt and I think it's funny.
