While I understand the concerns of the previous commenter, I see nothing that is truly offensive to the Hindu faith or Kali Ma in the design of this shirt. It wasn't the designer of the shirt who called her the goddess of "destruction" and "pain," it was just some random uninformed person. I'm not an adherent of any specific religion, but I've long been fascinated by Kali Ma. To me, she represents the flow of time and the loving energy that permeates all of space-time even as individual beings are born, grow old, and die. From a microcosmic perspective, death appears frightening and "evil". But from the macrocosm, as represented by Kali Ma, it's just a part of the natural order and is no more "good" or "evil" than living. This shirt is humorous because it's disarming to see such a powerful figure as Kali engaged in acts that are so utterly human. To my sensibilities, it is charming rather than offensive. There are other shirt designs on Threadless that feature divine figures out of their original contexts (e.g. Jesus Christ dressed as a Jedi wielding a crucifix as a light saber), and I have yet to see one that I think is neither funny nor clever. I must suggest that anyone who actually gets miffed when they see images like these should take a few moments for introspection and honestly ask themselves why they find such things upsetting. Will the existence of this T-shirt really promote misinformation and prejudice against followers of Sanatana Dharma in Western countries? I don't believe so. It seems to me that this shirt could actually spark positive and educational conversations when worn by a knowledgeable person who is willing to communicate.

This is an awesome idea, so I hate to be a party pooper, but the vast majority of candy corn is not vegetarian. It almost always contains gelatin (i.e. goop from boiled animal tendons).

Okay, kids, seriously. If you don't know what this shirt means, you need to rent Reservoir Dogs by director Quentin Tarantino. Like, now. And rent Pulp Fiction while you're at it. This shirt is awesome.
