I was wondering what you guys do with your prints... I mean these aren't just some dunky posters from the mall... but I can't be all getting frames and matte board and all that... shoot.

Any suggestions out there on hanging your prints? products etc.? Affordable? Inovative creative sollutions?

That's from the BRC show isn't it priscilla? Unframed prints will usually roll at the corners if the air is humid.

So what is it? Alligator clip with a pin holding it to the wall?

My friends mum uses wooden palates, painted white. I don't know how to describe them, they are the ones that things get delivered to shops on, if that makes sense.

Anyway, they look pretty cool.

I usually buy from a place like AC Moore/Michaels, they always freaking have coupons + clearance, recently I bought a wood panel frame, looks very nice with Routemaster for $15

yeah finding old cheap frames is normally best, but it can be tricky to find large ones. as well as using the bulldog clips method, i've also used those lomo clips things, they're pretty good if you wanna put up lots of photos and small prints, but the prints will still do the whole curling corners thing over time

not mine, but old pants hangers are great too:

Also: rare earth magnets. Drive a nail flush into the wall, place your piece, position magnet over nail.

I have many printmaker friends, and thus, a whole portfolio full of prints. I'm definitely going out and getting a pile of pant hangers. Great idea.

The clipboards are cool too.

I have a habit of actually going out and buying frames. I have 19 movie posters right now that need frames. 16 of them are on the wall in plastic sleeves they came in, that have picture hooks on the back.

you're right, it is hella expensive to get frames for them all. I bought two threadless prints and put them in nice frames, but haven't hung them yet.

The pants hangers and/or bulldog clips could work if you attach them to like, foam core or stiff tag board. But, if you use adhesive you risk bleeding into the image. AHH! i dunno. i just use that cheapo box frame for Cat on a Skateboard print. other frames I find at Thrift stores.

right.. i bought some prints and they sit in the shipping tube...
I don't want to take the time to flatten them so they hang with the clips and i don't wanna pay for frames... sheesh laweesh... I think if I lived in a city and home i really wanted to invest in long term I'd consider getting frames and more solid hanging materials...

so funny you said that because that's EXACTLY how I feel! I rent a townhouse and the reason I haven't hung my latest prints is cause I just don't care!

I actually have no idea. I have to stop blogging high.

I want to mount them, but I'm not keen on a frame or clips/pins. Any ideas?
