Apparently no one ever rates the slogans. I've had 2 up for a LONG time and I haven't gotten more than 25 votes. 1 being from myself, and another from my girlfriend. That means there are only 23 others rating them. WTF?

Do people not like the slogan tees?

The one thing I wish is that there was a better system to the scoring. I mean, if you don't understand a slogan, you will most likely say "OMG No" even though you may like it if you knew what it meant. There should be a way to comment on them like on the usual design comp.

Anyways, all that's left to say is, feel free to check out my slogans, maybe I'll get more than 25 votes...

(If you are slow, the London slogan is about that little kid song "London bridge is falling down")

after around 24 votes, they seem to stop cycling thru the rating system, and you hafta make blogs like this to get more votes.

just checked yours out, the london bridge one's the best.

please return the favor and check mine out?

Well, it really is about percentages...If you consider that half of the slogans submitted are stolen from TV, Movies, and other sources, then take away the half of whats left which is usually attributed to Frat-Boy Humor & things of that nature, all you really have left is 1/4 to consider...with an 1/8 of that being taken up by inside jokes and puns. My point being that it might be more difficult on the voters than was previously assumed.

especailly with how easy it is to submit. anyone else completely frustrated to the point of rage of the number of thebabe_2's slogans? i really enjoyed scoring them until evey other one was one of his. so now i just score slogans after i finish reading someone's blog entry.

AFAIK the slogans cycle through from last to first.

My only proof is that as soon as I submit a slogan, it's the first one to pop up when I return to the front page.

I think a randomizer would work better.

I don't like them - I think the whole concept kind of cheapens the Threadless experience, in a way. Anyone can come up with a slogan, but it takes true talent to design a shirt good enough to be printed.

Connie, the irony and big words one are pretty good. Grammar slogans are great, check out my alliteration one.

thanks, tim, i liked the S.A.D. and alliteration one. i also think that most people wouldn't get the shimala one and would be all "wtf?!"

I have to agree with you Tim, grammar slogans are funny. And to all that asked for votes, I checked out all of your slogans.
And thanks for your votes!

The Shimala one will never make it, he just reminds me of the Sasquatch stole my underpants shirt.

Thanks for the votes.

Thanks tim. I know some of mine are quite obvious cultural references that don't really deserve an airing, but at the time they seemed a good idea and I don't have the heart to delete them! At least I only have a few!

By the way, "If you want to date me, the odds are good but the goods are odd" - that is a funny slogan!

yeah, whenever i see someone who's submitted 30+ for scoring, i sortof just give up because most of the time i'm too lazy to read them all.

I stated this previously in another blog, if you have more than 6 or 7 you arent going to get good votes. No one wants to go through em all.

Slogans are so hard to get printed! Especially with so many good ones. The best thing you can do is advertise in the blogs. Like what you are doing! And of course returning the favor helps too :)

Though some may feel that slogans are not as big a deal as their graphic design brethren, serious sloganeers do pull their hairs out and turn the cogs of their creative brains just as much as the artists do to come up with that print-worthy slogan they can be proud of; we just really need to weed out those submit-happy people that don't put much thought into submissions.

Besides, we have different ways of expressing our creativity. Some draw and paint, others collaborate, and others, like me who have no artistic bone in my body, just attempt to create witty slogans.

Like what has been said, creating blog entries, joining a community like the official slogan club and helping out the graphic design community by posting sensible and constructive criticisms on their submissions increase a sloganeer's visibility and will most likely get those vote count up :D
