Okay, so this is the HEIGHT of inanity, but I didn't sleep at all last night and I just saw some boots I want and I think I might buy them but due to my ridiculously stressed-out, sleep-deprived state I'm not sure whether or not I'd be making a good decision. So, tell me, should I buy these? I'm really, really tempted:

All of the people I would normally ask are gone, so instead I'm being a jerkface and making a stupid blog.

Oh, and they're about $60 in the end, but I do indeed have $60 to spend on boots, somehow.

I hope you're all having a good night :)

Those are cute!

I've been looking for some leather boots too. It's so hard to find one with the perfect amount of heel.

I think I'm mostly just going nuts because I've wanted a pair of brown boots for like three years and still haven't bought them, or found any that I really liked that were affordable.

if you like it, you should put a boot on it

Those are not real leather, unfortunately, but I don't think I can shell out for leather boots :/

$60 is a steal for boots you'll actually wear

I got a pair of boots for $50 recently and they rock.

margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 9:09pm
yeah. I mean, I guess if they suck I can return them.

lol @ that passes for looking at the bright side

In conclusion, those boots are hot.

I think your boots and my (hypothetical) boots should hang out.

I liked them until I saw the back-tie which weirded me out a bit.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound mean.

They look good, is what I meant by "damn girl".
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 9:15pm
yeah, I don't know about the back bit. I think it could look good or just... weird. It looks like a corset for the back of your leg? Hmm.

anyway, it's good that you're questioning their aesthetic appeal, because my brain is kind of fried and I don't trust my judgment.

Siggggggghhhhhh...I really, really love boots on both women and men. Those looks pretty sweet and $60 is a steal! Do it, Margo!

I am in favor of the lace-up back. I think it's a nice detail. One thing that I can not abide on a boot is zippers.
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 9:19pm
oh, well... there ARE zippers, on the insides. But that happens on a lot of female boots :/
Steve The Great
Steve The Great on Nov 12 '09 at 9:20pm
wait.

are you saying we should knock boots?

?
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 9:21pm
well, the boots COULD knock.
Malcolm Man
Malcolm Man on Nov 12 '09 at 9:23pm
Well, sometimes it's inevitable with the taller boots. A lot of women's boots seem to have zippers. Do you know what the sole of the show is made of? Sometimes the sole will wear out quickly or become unglued on cheaper boots. Any reviews on them?
shakethesheets
shakethesheets on Nov 12 '09 at 9:24pm
if female boots don't have zippers, they're usually gross and stretchy plastic or look too big when you wear them.

they're hot. buy them.
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 9:26pm
no, nothin' I can see. I've been thinking about that during my three-year-long meditation on boot-buying, though. Unfortunately I don't think I can pay for nice boots, sigh.

I do not think they will be super well-constructed, but I could be wrong.
Malcolm Man
Malcolm Man on Nov 12 '09 at 9:29pm
Well, you might want to hold out and save for a good pair.

I dunno. How bad ya want 'em?!
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 9:30pm
aw man, I don't even know anymore. I guess I can send them back if they feel super cheap.
amaliaslash
amaliaslash on Nov 12 '09 at 9:35pm
My favorite boots were also $60, but on sale from $120! I just looked online, but they are gone, so I cannot share the link with you (but they are in my facebook photo.) I wear them every other day recently.
Malcolm Man
Malcolm Man on Nov 12 '09 at 9:36pm
That is true. If you've got the expendable cash, buy them and check them out yourself for a bit,

I've been lusting after a smashing pair of Bed Stus for quite some time now. I've come very close to laying down the cash for them.

Lonely interweb shopping nights do not help.

Oooh Margo, what size do you wear?
margolove

9s

and I will go check out your boots now, if only to lust after them.

Dang. I bought a pair of truly amazing boots at a thrift store a while ago, but they were size 8, and I also wear a 9, and I plan on selling them. So you could have had first dibs! But they will be too tiny, I had a hard time fitting into them and I can wear 8.5's usually.
amaliaslash
amaliaslash on Nov 12 '09 at 9:48pm
Cool story, Amalia.
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 10:00pm
awwwwww, sad! Man, I always get so sad at thrift stores when the shoes are all just a little too small... always happens.
amaliaslash
amaliaslash on Nov 12 '09 at 10:04pm
I end up buying them anyway with a hope to make an etsy store or something, but then when I moved to SF there was no room in the car, so I left them at Brian's mom's house. So my shoe sales are a big, fat ZERO.

The best women's shoes are always around 6-7. I don't even know anyone with feet that tiny!
margolove
margolove on Nov 12 '09 at 10:07pm
I know, wtf? It always makes me so sad. I wish I had tiny feet. Even the ones that are sized as 9s are usually too small.
