I have been trying to buy new shoes for a damn YEAR and every time I find something I like it immediately sells out. Also, I hate everything. However, I'm going to try again, but I'm kinda stuck.

I'm kind of leaning towards the second ones because I think they'd look better with jeans (and be, you know, a different color than my pants), but would I just be getting ugly shoes?

Should I just scrap this idea entirely?

OH MY GOD I HATE BUYING SHOES. I just want a new version of my old ones :(

Also, my mother bought a macbook today so I will be spending the rest of the summer on tech support duty. Wonderful.

If I buy two pairs they will retain the new-shoe smell for longer.

If there is a heaven, it smells like tennis balls and new shoes. Basically, rubber.

I think there's something wrong with me, because that smell actually makes me drool.

I think the only reason I even feel compelled to ask is that the shopping cart on Zappos is screaming at me that there are ONLY THREE LEFT! in the first kind, so this clearly must be URGENT, MAN!

haha, yeah malcolm, that does happen. I just kind of want these for normal walking, so they probably won't get muddy. I have another pair for EXTREME WALKING.

brian - one of my friends made shoes out of duct tape this year. They were impressive. And slippery as fuck.

That is oddly more accurate than I meant.
