Should I be using Photoshop for my designs, and what would the file dimensions be for a T-Shirt design, I downloaded the pack on here but I don't want the people in the design picture.

You don't have to use photoshop - many do, but it isn't necessary to make a design. there are other things, like gimp.

Photoshop not good? It's a very powerful tool - even just the essentials program.

I have Photoshop, but some said Illustrator is better.

Read up on 'em, do some searching and experimenting and see which (or some combo of both) gives you the results you are looking for
