I've been watching a lot of Everybody Hates Chris lately and I've noticed that every episode is titled the same way: "Everybody Hates _____". Current episode: "Everybody Hates Father's Day". Next, according to my TV guide: "Everybody Hates Jail".

It seems like a lot of shows have their own episode naming conventions. I've started a list below, but maybe you know some others?

* Friends, "The One with the ______" (e.g. "The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy")

* Scrubs, "My ____" (e.g. "My Super Ego", "My Blind Date", etc.)

* Seinfeld, "The ____" (e.g. "The Apartment", "The Jacket", etc.

* It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia -- "The Gang Does Something"

* I'm Alan Partridge -- Film titles with "Alan" inserted in them (e.g. "To Kill a Mocking Alan", "Bravealan", etc.

* Degrassi -- Uses song titles ("Jagged Little Pill", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", etc.)

* Pokémon -- Poképuns

* Freaks and Geeks -- "_____ and ____" (e.g. "Beers and Weirs", "Carded and Discarded", etc.)

Apparently my topic for the day is the senses. I do not have synaesthesia ("the subjective sensation of a sense other than the one being stimulated. For example, a sound may evoke sensations of colour"). A lot of other people seem to, though, which I find baffling. For instance, some folks "see" a year as similar to the following:

I mean, that's just one lady's version but a lot of others seem to share the perception that it's "racetrack-shaped" and that different months have different colors. (As posted on Neatorama).

I know Chris said he has experiences with this. I'm jealous.

I read about this sound that is played in certain areas to keep teenagers from loitering... it's a high-pitched buzzing sound that apparently only young people can hear, but I can hear it too. That makes me feel good about being old today.

Can you hear it?

I can also tell if a TV is on in a room even if the picture isn't showing (for example, if the cable is turned off) by the sound that it makes but most of the people around me don't know what I'm talking about.
