And one of the nicest people on here too.

I think you're plagiarising me there Mr Pod. Hi Theo!

  • This isn't a critique thread but a sneaky promotion blog! No big deal, but if you do want feedback on your work then post a WIP (work in progress) thread first and people will probably give you some comments and suggestions.

This is nicely done, well drawn. I'm not really into the whole cereal box pastiche thing. I feel like the text is a little too spaced out, cereal boxes always feel like everything is packed in so tight and everything is almost on top of each other like this:

  • Post an image not a link. Right click on your image from the host site 'save image address' and post it in the camera icon.

I think you need to stop posting your designs on every imaginable colour. Its part of your role as the creator to decide which colour tee works best with your colour scheme, sure maybe two variations from time to time are ok but every god damn time?

I'm not sure if you believe in some avant garde art movement or you simply feel that Threadless has stagnated and requires your own brand of weird hand drawn illustrations, but for your own sake take a look at what prints here (I'm not saying be a drone or a carbon copy of a copy) but take a look at the general standard and quality of work. Now look at your work with critical and realistic eyes, being self critical is the cornerstone of being a creative, if you can't gauge your own works value you can't develop.

Three things work pretty well here:

    1. Fantastically illustrated and technically beautiful pieces of work.

    2. Cleverly executed puns, visual hooks and popular culture references.

    3. The first two combined.

I'm not trying to be an asshole, or scare you off from Threadless, I'm trying to do the contrary if anything. Stick around contribute in things other than your own promotion thread or a group promotion thread, why should people give you their time and opinions on your work if you're not prepared to reciprocate. Join in with whats going on here, get some great feedback, develop your work, make some friends.

  • This is really great, love the idea, the newer version is great too.

The only thing I would have changed is having some lines leading into the point indentation on the fencer's chest to show the fabric being compressed. I guess nobody likes a wise word after the horse has bolted though, I'll shut up now. Sorry.
