I have an image created in Adobe Illustrator, but I'm not computer savvy at all and now i don't know how to get it to the site. I downloaded both the tmplates, but they dont seem to do anything. Could someone please walk me thru this? I'd really appreaciate it.

Okay, well your gonna need Photoshop too. Unless you can figure out the size of the box and make your own shirt (AND get the shirt colors right) all in Illustrator, and all without opening up the Photoshop file... then you can save as (or maybe its called saved optimized as) from Illustrator.

In conclusion, open up your .ai file into Photoshop and go from there.

I open it in photoshop too, but you might be able to get away with illustrator. You'll have to do some vector tracing, though.

Open an illustrator document.

Go to File: Place

select the photoshop template.

It'll place it on your illustrator page, but you won't be able to do anything with it. You'll have to just trace over all of the shapes (the submission box, shirt template.) You'll just have to do the best you can with the colors.

Hopefully this helps. I'm not the most computer savvy person either.

a way to do this without photoshop, if your still struggling.

what i would do is create an new document in illustrator and make it 640x480 (if that's the size your supposed to submit it, i can't remember right now)

you can do this by selecting "pixels" under the units option in the "new document" box. enter 640 as the width and 480 as the height ( or any other size you choose)

now copy your work to this document and size it so it fits the box.

now make a square that fits exactly into that box, choose the color you want, make this your bottom layer. this is important because when you do file > "save for web" illustrator only saves what you made and not the entire size you chose for your document. when you choose "save for web" another box pops up, make sure to choose GIF as your file type and save it.

I am guessing there are much better ways to this but I'm new to illustrator. the best way to become "computer savvy" is just to mess with things and to have no fear, and a good book can also do the trick.

Hope I helped.
