Where do you Threadless peeps stand on the ground of shirts having something printed on the back? My friend really wanted me to add something on the back of my shirt design, Conjuring Creatures because he's not a fan of just plain-jane center composition designs. He likes things on the side's instead, or off center.

I don't feel that adding a back to the shirt (version 1 vs version 2) really takes away from anything.. but adds more. Yet everyone says not to have a back on it? Maybe this is due to the presentation of the back of the shirt is less aesthetic than the version 1 image uploaded, but I'm not sure.

What I really want to know is, do you like shirts with things printed on the back? My friend really likes how it allures to the front, yet the feedback I've received here makes me wonder.

In general, if it works, go for it. if it's not necessary, it can come across as a lame gimmick. With some designs, non-centered placements can work, but for most others, depending on the composition and subject matter, a traditional center-chest placement is essential.

In my opinion your design is plenty strong on front without needing any back element.
