ha I saved a bug from certain death
mrs dingo has teased me relentlessly all day

because this afternoon I noticed what I thought was a dead bug in my cat's water bowl and then discovered that the little bug was actually not dead but would probably soon be, so I fished him /her (?????) out and placed the bug carefully over in the grass. The bug seemed to recover from it's ordeal on flew off....mrs dingo suggests that it flew off and was promptly eaten by a bird =\

hopefully the little bug is chilling doing bug stuff..

I do that all the time :) My fiancee got embarrassed when I tried to save a worm on the pavement... but someone would have squished him!

Bugs are cool.

I used to get rolly pollies and drop them from the top floor of my apartment and see if they were still alive. They were.

I always try an save the earthworms too. It's so sad when the sidewalks are too wide for them to cross before the sun comes back out.

i used to hate walking to school when it rained because back home all the wormies would come out and i had to strain my neck the whole way to make sure i didn't step on any.

i also move little worms out of harms way following rain.

and I sort of adopted a grasshopper that lived in our basil plant all summer.

it was awesome... i'd be very careful of my grasshopper when watering the basil plant.. he ate some of it (the basil plant) i was fine with that.
