I thougth I saw that threadless checks for multiple accounts from the same ip... My house is ona a network so all our pcs have the same ip address. Can my parents and siblings not vote because they would be from the same ip as me? Also, at my school I would like to get some of my friends to vote for me. If they vote at home it would be fine, but if they vote at school, it would be on the school network, which I assume has the same ip on every pc. Would I be disqualified if that happened?

i don't think it'll be that big of a deal. I mean, each entry gets around 500 votes so will the handful of people you tell to vote make that much of a difference?

I doubt you have a static IP. You're probably behind a NAT router and/or use DHCP, so just reboot your PC or unbind and reacquire an IP address if you know how to do that. But, I agree with Freeeek - a couple more votes probably won't put you over the top, unless you have a REALLY big family and A LOT of friends ;)

Actually I do have an assigned static ip address from my isp...
And I go to a school of about 140 people, so I know almost everyone and I could get a lot of them to vote...

Well, go hog ass wild then kid. I'm glad you're so popular that you could throw the Threadless vote ... Bummer about those damn static IPs though.

A great design with a not so great average has a better chance of being printed than a crappy design with an outstanding average.

So, I doubt swaying the average is going to help you in any way. Just come up with well-done, original ideas.

Wouldn't you rather know that you earned a high score from unbiased strangers than know that you only got a high score because all of your friends and family came to the site to vote for you? It would make the score pretty meaningless. Plus if you get a high score on a mediocre design, it probably won't get printed anyway. If your design is good, then the score will probably reflect that without the help of everyone at your school.

I'm not making anyone vote for me and give me a high score, infact one of my friends who's a talented artist wouldn't vote for me cause he didn't like my design, and said he could do better. I'm not just making my friends vote and bumping up my score. The e-mail from threadless even says to spread it to all your friends, "Promo Tool 2 - Submission Email Forward
Edit and forward the other email you've been sent to all your friends to help spread the word about Threadless and promote your submission."

And I do realize that a better design with a low average will have a better chance of winning...

And I guarantee if I did show my friends my design and this site, it would probably get threadless more sales and let more people know about the site.

haha you should tell your friend to come here and submit something then! Let the Threadless users decide who's better. :)

Good luck with your submission.
