those wouldn't be the people who mostly commented if normal designers would just look in there once in a while.. which they usually don't.

i have seen so many assholes on this site that got an account a week ago and are wasting their summer giving other people 1's and the most useless criticism. one kid, once he realized the idea behind a design, said he liked it less after knowing, and at first he thought it was just cute, even though the idea was really smart. and another kid told someone that red and blue were complementary colors. eight seconds on google would have wised him up but he doesn't know any better.



i think besides the whatever super rank for getting a shirt picked, there could be some kind of scarlet letter for these snots with no experience. thank you.

i don't know!.. i try to let them know sometimes that we need them in there.

but you're going to get inexperienced-in-designing people everywhere on here anyway. even if they've subbed a few times (like me), they might still not know anything about design (like me), or just plain be mean.

i say just ignore them.

i disagree with the title of your blog, though. critiques can only help you.

they can be but, thats why I have that little part where I say "But then again they are consumers" because I know some of them have valid points that are helpful in design. But I really didn't want a title tooo long or expanatory and that would catch the eye of a general reader. But truly I think it should be a prerequisite to post a design before you judge others only to be fair, but then I'll just be bias torwards artists only... soo maybe I need a threadless type site for artists only, know where I can find one?

no idea where you can find a site where people are let in based on how much of an artist they are... haha



members here have complete freedom of speech (despite the little thing that says "Remember, be nice!" next to the comment box) so i guess here you have to deal with the people who might not be qualified.

Sure, there's plenty. But they call them jobs.

there are many people who love art and have a really good eye, who cant make art themselves. if you dont like the crits, dont do them.
