question about templates..

This is my first time considering submitting a design, and I feel rather stupidly clueless.

I am using Adobe Photoshop. I downloaded the template, but I was wondering if I was allowed to change the color of it? And how does Threadless figure out what colors you wanted the shirt to be judged as? Oooh the confusion.

Yes, you're allowed to change the color of it. The template has different layers, each layer having a different color shirt. Just make the layer with the shirt color that you want visible, and the others, I guess...non-visible.

Just slap your design on your desired color template and submit it. That's the color that'll be judged, unless you put more than one color choice for the shirt for submission.

I use Freehand, so I'm not sure if it works differently for Photoshop.
