At 11:45am today I had my first ever car accident.
Some kid went through a stop sign with his Toyota and hit me on the front/left side of my car. The impact was so strong that he pushed me sideways and made me go over the pavement then a pole and ended up crashing on the corner of a building. His car bounced off my car then hit a metallic bin and crashed in the back of a Jeep. Both of his airbags deployed. At the end we both got out OK, feeling a slight shock for the first few minutes. Then I realised I had a deep cut on my knee. Paramedics wanted to take me to the hospital but I refused. They put me a bandage and that was it. Car was towed away and the insurance companies will do the rest. It was impossible to avoid him - he came out of a narrow street, speeding, which didn't allow me enough time to react. Then all I remember was the impact, the loud noise, seeing him bouncing off as my head moved towards his way and then a sudden stop. Silence. So weird. It's amazing how empty your head is right after a crash. No thoughts, nothing. For a few secs you are in a daze and then seconds after your brain starts thinking about: "am i ok"? "what happened to the other driver"? "oh no, the car!" I feel so sick to the thought what could have happened if a pedestrian was standing on that pavement. If someone was in my path. Seriously it makes me physically sick :( Be careful Threadless drivers, double-check even if you have priority on the road. I need a cool drink now.............
I bet you've seen it already.
Watched her live tonight and she rocked the house. So awkwardly lovely and what a great performer! Every single track performed was a remix of the original and that in itself made the whole gig very special - enough material for making a new album.
She also did a great cover of "Slave To Love" and played a lot of new stuff. Sounds ranged from pop to electro to house to even lounge - amazing. Her outfits where just crazy but how she manages to look good in them is beyond me. She's got a spell on me. If you like her stuff and she is in town check her out most defiantly! :) My iphone sucks cause it can't even record a decent video or take a proper picture in the dark. Make it better Steve you HEAR!!!??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79XHJBObDzU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMrisADbWzA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFqftCMq4w8 Bonus ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYdF1qjMNks

Propose something for my 15minute breaks. (except coffee - I'm receiving that intravenously.

On Saturday me and my girlfriend went out for shopping and while driving to a supermarket we saw right in the middle of a busy intersection a tiny kitty all shaped up into a furry ball scared to death. It was actually that scared by the passing cars that it had completely abandon the idea of taking an escape root and just sat there quietly. Meanwhile not even one fuckface (please allow me to curse cause I really have to) stopped to check the kitty or at least remove it from the road - they just kept on going dodging with their cars the little guy. We stopped, got out and picked it up immediately. Tiny enough to fit into the palm of my hand we kept it warm with a piece of fabric I had in the car and went off to the nearest vet clinic. At the clinic we asked if someone would be able to take care the kitty and find a home for it but they wouldn't help unless we payed for the treatment and secondly we were informed that there is no government service that could house a homeless animal and even though there are some private organizations that can help they are overcome by the shear number of animals they treat. OK! I understand, a private clinic needs money and that is no object for me and my girl especially when such a helpless creature is in need but these people are supposed to be animal doctors who know very well than any other that the country suffers badly regarding animal welfare. How hard would it be for them to allow a set number of homeless animals to stay in their damn clinic until they find them a home and help with the shitty situation that this country is allowing? To cut a long story short we managed to get the kitty checked by a vet who is a friend and found out that the left foot is paralyzed. Seems like a defect from birth but luckily no broken bones and in general in good health, just tired and needs the typical shots. We managed to find a home for the little guy too (who apparently is a she) because a lady at the clinic heard me shouting at the doctors (oops) felt bad about our furry friend and now she is taking care of it at her house with her other cats. We felt we had to help her out and so we paid for all the necessary drugs and food for the first few weeks. Overall my country sucks when it comes to animal care and what is worse is that the city folk have become immune to the situation and to the sight of a helpless animal. It really bothers me knowing that there are hundreds of similar situations out there at the moment but hopefully some of them will survive because of the kindness of a few people who still care. I'm sorry to be like this but honestly the last couple of days the situation has angered me immensley. Here she is: ![]() |
I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
