At 11:45am today I had my first ever car accident.
Some kid went through a stop sign with his Toyota and hit me on the front/left side of my car. The impact was so strong that he pushed me sideways and made me go over the pavement then a pole and ended up crashing on the corner of a building. His car bounced off my car then hit a metallic bin and crashed in the back of a Jeep. Both of his airbags deployed. At the end we both got out OK, feeling a slight shock for the first few minutes. Then I realised I had a deep cut on my knee. Paramedics wanted to take me to the hospital but I refused. They put me a bandage and that was it. Car was towed away and the insurance companies will do the rest. It was impossible to avoid him - he came out of a narrow street, speeding, which didn't allow me enough time to react. Then all I remember was the impact, the loud noise, seeing him bouncing off as my head moved towards his way and then a sudden stop. Silence. So weird. It's amazing how empty your head is right after a crash. No thoughts, nothing. For a few secs you are in a daze and then seconds after your brain starts thinking about: "am i ok"? "what happened to the other driver"? "oh no, the car!" I feel so sick to the thought what could have happened if a pedestrian was standing on that pavement. If someone was in my path. Seriously it makes me physically sick :( Be careful Threadless drivers, double-check even if you have priority on the road. I need a cool drink now.............
