just an idea i had but i don't think i have the artistic ability or knowhow to adequately render it, so i'm posting it here to let someone else run with it, unless someone else already has good luck!

i thought some one might be able to do a design showing the, I believe, culturally diverse nature of NYC.

don't they call it the melting pot after all?
