theres no point getting all whiny about the number of his designs that have been (and will continue to be) printed. the same people that complain about him, have his shirts hanging in their cupboards. it just amounts to jealousy that their little pet projects havent been printed.



he really seems to set a standard, and this shouldnt be a cause for people to start hating him, it should be that they try harder to flippin' beat him next time! and yeah, he now submits under an alias and his designs still score well, so theres no argument for the "glennz groupie" voting anymore.



i love his work, and will continue to buy it.

Seriously, what motivation do people have to post this topic periodically? Are you questioning the quality of his designs? If so I can understand it and disagree with you. But is there another reason? Are you just player hating?

glenn just makes awesome illustrations..how could threadless NOT print them..

and...if threadless decided to just randomly stop printing glenn's stuff..i'd be we'd get all these blogs about "where are the glennz shirts..lyke wtf mannz?!?"

im sick of that guy. he may have great illustrations, but let someone else win for once. There are plenty of other people on here that submit excelent stuff, but it is never printed. Threadless should label people as "elite" designers after they have 2 or 3 designs printed. and those "elite" designers compete against each other.

i dont really like that "elite" status...i mean if a design is good and there's enough demand for it, i say print it regardless of who made it. threadless after all is a business and businesses like to make money

I just want the best shirts, I really don't notice who designs the shirt. Artificially slowing the printing of shirts from 'proven' designers sounds like communisim to me son.

Yes I think each sub should be judged on its merits, so who designed it is immaterial. Threadless is a business after all & their concern is with what will sell. The fact that Glenn's the golden goose is just the way it goes...let's rub his belly for luck!

it's voted on, it's not like it's a fluke, he's very talented and deserves to win.



the only unfortunate thing about this is all the kids only want to see stuff like that now. sometimes they just don't get a design or don't score it well solely based on it's simple beauty or it's concept, they want both, they want it to be extremely refined & stylized with a "really" witty concept.



but there have been plenty of great shirts printed in the past months to keep me satisfied.

and he's really difficult to satisfy...

trying to get it back on track: it's pretty easy to be jealous of Jones, especially when my design scored better than his flower power and didn't get printed. His designs are good though so I dunno.

Him having to go to a alias just to submit stuff is sad. I've got two of his shirts and they are great...so stop the hate.

Okay.... first of all I had no idea it was a reoccuring topic around these boards, so there's no need to take that nasti tone with me. Secondly this was just my observation, and I wanted to know you're people's thoughts on it. Simple as that.

Dark Side of the Garden is absolutely brilliant. It would be a classic anywhere let alone on threadless. Flower Power is pale by comparison.

I keep reading all these blogs about how people are sick of my designs, or am I on the threadless payroll, I see one person say "he's had his exposure now stop printing his shirts.



this site isnt about exposure - yes that is a great bi product - but I dont do it for the exposure - here in New Zealand very few people would know about this site or about me - I just do it because I enjoy it - I think alot of people get way too carried away - it's only tee shirts.



As for Threadless printing too many of my designs - have a look on the first 2 pages of highest ranked shirts on here - I have lots of designs that will probably be never get printed even though they are ranked really high - do you see me complain about it? its only a tee shirt - eveyone who backs me up thanks very much, everyone who's complainiing, get over it, its only a tee shirt

In this sort of situation, it is inevitable there will be one or two heavyweight contenders who rise above the rest and it is equally inevitable they will be subject to jealous critisism. It's simple chaos theory, I could explain it with a mandelbrot set. Keep going Glenns, you totally own threadless.

if you don't like the shirt don't buy the shirt. This is the most impactful thing you can do.

Threadless should just stop printing t-shirts. I mean, they are showing way too much favoritism to this medium; It's sad.
