Threadless

I've been lurking for a long time around threadless, and I've bought two shirts. I've submitted 4 shirts, all of which got declined. I have another one pending.

My newest submission is something I really love. I mean, I would buy my friends this shirt even if I didn't design it. Because I have no luck, I wouldn't be shocked if threadless wouldn't even put it in the running. My question is: Is there some sort of service that you can print your own shirt with? Can I print this shirt even if the god's of threadless won't even give it a chance?

In your yellow pages, look up "screen printer". Alternately, call print shops and see if they can suggest one.

You usually have a flat fee per colour set-up, plus a certain amount per shirt/per colour (so, say you're getting 20 3-colour shirts: You'd pay for the shirts, you'd pay a flat fee for each colour's set-up, and then you'd pay a little bit each time they put a colour on a shirt.)

Does that make sense?

Alternately, there are resources online that show you how to use a stensil, but unless you're going for a one colour shirt with no fine detailing, I'd suggest going to a professional.

I'ma go ahead and say that you definately have a screen printer in your area, because I live in a town of 20,000 and we have one here. If you can't find it there, look for sign makers. They'll know where to direct you.

I live in South Orange County and will be living in Denver by next week, so I'm sure you're right.

:)

Thanks!

there is also www.cafepress.com you can put on any image you want onto a select few variety of shirts, but they do run a little expensive. the plus side is that you can have as many colors as you want and it comes out really good quality. i had one done a while ago before i knew about this site and i am very satisfied with the result. definitely worth checking out.

I use cafepress for my site's shirts, but my new submission has a placement issue.

cafe press wouldnt be able to print that because of the placement. you can basically only put it on the center and it can't be too big. there are some restrictions but you can still sometimes get some good stugg out of it.

i dunno ..you 'd have to check with the site...

is the guy diving off a bridge for fun? or killing himself?

Could be taken either way.

The shirt was designed to represent that most suicides go unnoticed, thus the faceless characted jumping off the bridge. It can also be taken that "taking the dive" can be exhillerating but dangerous.

However you want it.

i don't think most suicides go unnoticed.. i think it's more like the fact that it's the #1 or 2 killer among young adults is what goes unnoticed

However you take the shirt is fine with me :). I really dig it, and it took me a while to design, so I hope you like it. I'm not trying to make a statement.

If you still haven't done this and are still looking for a place try Zazzle placement probably won't be an issue. They also do dark shirts.
