Ravens are pretty damn amazing, they have the same body to brain ratio as a chimpanze making them one of (if not) the most intelligent birds on the planet. Unlike most birds they can atcually solve problems, researchers put food in a small bucket then put the bucket in a tube (making it impossible for the crow to just get at the food) then they gave the crow a piece of wire.

The crow came from an area where crows had learned to dig up food using sticks so at first she tried to poke at the food with the wire but that didnt work but she realised that the piece of wire could be bent, she bent it into a hook then put it down a tube and pulled the food out. She'd never seen that before so the only possible answer is that she had the idea.

this guy goes into in more detail with more examples but if there was ever a case for drawing a crow, its that their pretty amazing. One of my favourite things he talks about is a bunch of researchers at washington state.
