  • A pen name is a fake name that artists and writers will use to keep their personal identities private. I actually chose the name William Watchikinoisky because I write action comics (like superheroes and stuff). Since I have choosen to do work in a field dominated by men I chose a man's name as a pen name to prevent a bias towards my work.
