who is that freaky looking azn singer that y'all post up all the time?
basking in the afterglow of another successful evening of brow-beating my children into doing their homework. Suddenly, and quite unprovoked, a tune starts worming it's way through my head. I pay no attention at first because a LOT of things worm around in my head a lot of the time. Then, my attention finally focuses on the tune. It was one of the two "anthems" of my drugged mind. From back in my drugged days. I hadn't really thought of or listened to it in a looooonnng time, yet there it was. It was comforting and disturbing at the same time. It sounded so good in my head, but it immediately made me long for that time, that...peace...for the first time that I can recall since those days ended.

OK, so, I head outside to put a bottle of juice into the outside fridge and...
1. First, I'm confronted by one of my cats. She's meowing strangely and it looks like her mouth is swollen. As she gets closer, I see that her mouth isn't swollen, it's full of a baby rat! 2. I turn right and head to the fridge, when I see something out of the corner of my eye. At first, I assume it's another cat, but my brain tells me that it's too poofy and that my old poofy cat doesn't live here. I turn my full attention to it, and there, tail up, ready to rock, is a freaking skunk! No more than 4 feet away from me! I think I said "holy crap!!!" and watched it amble away into the night. That's the first skunk that I've seen around here. I almost had a really shitty, really stinky night!

I put it in the toilet. Now it flushes much better.
