Alright y'all, Daddy needs help...

I'm gonna pick up an MP3 player for my boy for his birthday, but I don't want to spring for an iPod until I know he'll take care of it (and that his sister won't grab it an f*** it up.)
Any suggestions on a good, cheap-ish ($50-$75) mp3 player THAT IS MAC COMPATIBLE? I found a nice little sony walkman on sale, but apparently it isn't mac compatible?

I have a sansa but its over that money limit. Its pretty durable though, I've had it two years and dropped it a bunch and it still works. Although it helps to have a silicon cover for it.

I was looking into the older gen. but there aren't any refurbished right now, and his birthday is on Saturday, and I'm a jack-ass for finally remembering the thing that he's been asking for for the past year.

I think you have lovely boobs. I got my little sister a zen stone for christmas, they are only like 30 bucks and hold alot, its a rip off of the shuffle, but she loves it

my brother in law got a sweet skullcap - i cant remember the brand - but anyhow it had a little pocket in it for a shuffle and built in speakers

I was thinking about the shuffle, and looked at the stone, but I think he'll want to be able to choose the songs, and those don't let you do that, do they? Also, is the zen mac compatible?

you can get him a ipod shuffle. those are pretty sturdy.

The only thing that scares me about ipods and such are those little earbuds. Just make sure you get him some of those huge-ass earphones. The ones that go around the ear, not in it.

i think the new zen stone has a small LCD screen so he'll be able to see what song is playing, but I dunno if he'll be able to scroll through and pick a song like with Ipods. I have no idea if they are mac compatible, all we have are pc at my house.

still, i bought the stone for my sister for the same reason- i didn't know how she'd treat it and didn't want to spend 120 on an ipod that she'd break ina couple of months. She's been really good though, I'm thinking she really wants an ipod now for her birthday
