Yay! my design was finally printed by goapeshirts.com!

I know it's kind of shuned to advertise in forums, but I know some of you wanted to see this printed. It's been legally released by threadless and everything. Woo
This morning I stepped out the door to sign for a package wearing The Communist Party...

"Where'd you get that shirt"

"The internet"

"Where communists.com?... have a nice day"

yep... it's gonna be a good day
Created this for my 3D Form and Space class using Cinema 4D... it's my 3rd project in 3D and I'm so proud of it's creepyness..

this image took 17hrs to render o_0

The rendered image

has anyone else tried their hand in 3D? I think it's a lot of fun... like building with legos except for older people :)
So I'm a New Media Design major and we get grades for making fun flash stuff and such. Thought some of you might be inetersted. The assignment was to create a grid system where a user could make a path and have something follow the path.

I decided to do an antfarm and went a little above the requirements. You can specify the type of ant, speed, and how many. They dynamically choose their path if there's an intersection and detect path ends. The only thing I couldn't get to work was the online save/load, if anyone knows how to do this or knows a tutorial let me know! it has to save a string of the tile types, the username, and the trackname.

anyways, check it out:

I was very proud of it :)

Oh I almost forgot, the red and black ants will fight if they're in the same antfarm... so you can have ant wars... mhuahaha
Eh, I was bored so I decided to show the process from initial idea sketch, through crits, and to final submission :)

When does threadless contact you when they choose your design? do they tell u a few days before and tell u to keep your mouth shut?

PS: loosing hope on my kool-aid man being printed *sniffle*.... at least I'm in the 3+ club.
my roommate and I, as well as our friends next door, have been seeing these creatures all over the apartment. Does anyone here know what they are? we've just been calling them the "Mukashus" (Moo - Ca - shoo)..

Pic
(ewwwww)
they range in size from a few milimeters to over an inch.
A funny page my roommate made about them

omg... i get scared just looking at that picture.
Yukio Miyamoto, you are my hero

check this shit out!

especially the motorcycle and the cat... all done in Illustrator
They have a subscription deal for students and I was thinking of subscribing. Is it worthwhile? C'mon I know theres a lot of designers on these forums :)
In my New Media Publishing class today my professor showed this flash video. I found it really interesting and pretty plausible on where media is currently going (up to 2015). What do you guys think?

(note: the swf file is large and it has a tendency to mess up, you might have to refresh the page, then watch it.)
