Hi! So a few of us super nerds here at Threadless play this great game called Magic: The Gathering. Perhaps you've heard of it? Perhaps you play? Maybe you're tapping a little Mana right now?

We got any other MTG nerds here? Furthermore, how many of you are local to Chicago? Or maybe you'll be at our meetup this year. You totally know where this is heading....

Fun times at Threadless Tech here lately with regards to the blogs and fighting some not so fun stuff that's been happening with regards to garbage posts. You don't like it. We don't like it. Fortunately we've been able to shield you from most of it but it hasn't stopped them from trying.

We're making some little tweaks here and there to try curb some of this junk. I would love it if you would keep an eye out for anything that seems out of the ordinary with regards to your usual postings and commentings and readings.

Please post funny images of things now.

We just put in some changes to our anti-spam system that should cut down on the number of times you are given the garbly text form (to verify you're real). Hopefully this curbs most of the false positives we heard from you about.

Let us know here if you notice anything weird happening with regards to posting blogs and comments. We seem to be in a happy place right now.

In closing I'd like to add two things:

Hi folks!

Tonight we put the site into maintenance mode for a brief spell while we pushed out some new code. You shouldn't notice any big changes as a result of this right now. We did some pretty intensive back-end rewrites in our community area positioning ourselves for some big updates that you will notice in the future.

We appreciate your patience while we did this. Hopefully you didn't miss us too much!

From a Tech Awesome Dudes™ perspective we're super excited about what these back-end changes will allow us to do for our community. We can't wait to start rolling out some of these things in the future! Nothing solid to report yet but obviously you will be the first ones to find out about it.

If you notice any problems with blogs, submissions, critiques, etc. PLEASE let us know in this thread.
