WIP - Ice Mermaid - lost weight and tanned! Please comment, THANKS!

So I got a pen tablet for my birthday, and just started to practice in PS tracing some photo's. Here's the first result I would like to share.

I think it has great design potential, but some feedback on the drawing, ideas on the concept and suggestions for the colors are really welcome. Thanks!

In the new version I added some colors. Haven't fixed the neck yet, but will do soon!

I fixed the neck, made her lose a few pounds, but added a little line weight. Have been experimenting with many palets, and chose new colors. Please share your thoughts on this one, thanks!

Me too. I've begun to start coloring on a seafoam background, but I'm absolutely not sure about the colors. So any suggestions to it are really welcome.

I think some golden karp colours for the fish would really pop against the seafoam and maybe a greeny turquoise for the tail? the linework looks great so far!

Thanks brentendo, I like the gold idea. I was using the greeny turquoise indeed for both the tail and the hair. I'll post a first coloured version soon.

Added colors, please share your thoughts. Thanks guys! In this version it's 8 colors on a seafoam background. Added some gold details, but I'm not sure if that can be done (= extra color)

Thanks for commenting alex. It's all very new to me, so I hadn't put much thought into the lines yet, other than placing them correctly. I'll see what I can do!

give a smalller waist line, add some blue color between her arm and hair and also define her neck line a little better
