it's a coincidence. didn't you notice one has pine trees on the left and one has a vespa?

easy to mask the tree out and place the vespa in. classic trick also.

if they'd done just a little more to it you could excuse the similarities. like if the guy was having a picnic with a gorilla instead of the same girl at least then it would be a parody.

yeah the flyer looks fake as now looking at, he's cloned the trees and it just jarrs if you know what l mean.

Too late now though. God I hate crooks.

thieves are everywhere

thieves suck but they're no big deal. they're only picking up our scraps. we stay one step ahead all the time while they do what they can with our leftovers. as long as we've gotten our use out of something before they steal it then i'm not bothered.

It's suprising anyone thinks they can get away with it these days, when people across the world communicate instantly on forums like these.

Appropriation to some extent is fine.. but please dig a little deeper eh chaps? A straight rip of something you saw last week spells creative bankruptcy.

The things that make me think the Flyer took the art from the shirt is that area where the logo is on the art. They did a crappy job dropping down that area of texture. Also I think that butterfly is a cleaned up stolen part from Flowers In The Attic. Not to mention that the cars don't match the style of the motovino art, which no designer of that art in his right mind would do.

I'm pretty sure the butterfly is clip art, the cars could easily be drawn in illustrator, and the dude on the cycle could be clip art or stolen from somewhere else. Funny that this flyer caught my eye as I was walking in the door to this club. Nice club though, by the way. They play punk / alt. / indie and have a "night beergarden".

Nevertheless the "artist" who created these flyers has stolen a lot more threadless-designs.There are around three more flyers with "mourning girl","blame it on your tv" and "game-set-match" on each of them.

I've seen a lot of companies/bands use Threadless images on flyers.

Actually, I just got one today that used Ask Me How I Became a Pirate (or whatever it's called.)
