Hey all,

I'm still less than a month old here and I think I did a boo boo by submitting a zillion designs right away before getting to know folks. Half my subs have been ended early and I swear they don't suck (but who am I to say). My first one got a bunch of encouraging comments ( http://www.threadless.com/submission/236712/Hidden/showmore,designs ) but it's been mostly cold and lonely since then.

Any advice on how to get the regulars checking out one's stuff?

Yes, they don't really suck (although I only check out a few).

You get them to check out your stuff by mostly doing nice polite stuff. I think. And also making a gazillion billion awesome submissions so as to stake your aesthetic and presence.

You can make a work in progress blog and ask for suggestions/help. Getting votes from the regulars doesn't help that much when there are so many other voters involved in scoring designs.

you've come to the right place. post a blog, ask for suggestions, generate interest, etc etc. Just don't go around posting links in random blogs or other people's subs. that's annoying.

you can also make clickable links by clicking the "a href" HTML in the box to the left of the comment box, like so.

yeah I've already been victim to the links in my comments thing, it is an instant turn off. Thanks for the input. I'll keep it up.

A scoring question ... it seems like most people give zeros and ones reeeeeally easily. My interpretation of the numbers: 5 = holy crap great and I'd buy it ... 4 = fantastic effort but not quite for me ... 3 = nice art but not idea or nice idea but not art ... 2 = got work to do on art and idea ... 1 = maybe you should start over ... 0 = give up.

But the reality seems to be: 5 = I already know you and/or love you and it. 4 = I almost love you and it. 3 is never clicked 2 is never clicked. 1 = I hate you but it's good. 0 = I hate you and I'm bitter.
