so, i have pretty much reached the end of my list of people to swap with

and am setting up this blog to take ideas from you all

if you have a sketch/link of something (hat/scarf) you want made, post it here w/ your email and we can talk

i'm not likely to make an item more than once, but might try something similar

if you just have ideas but don't want it for yourself, please post those too because i'm always looking for inspiration

if you see a sub that you think would make a good hat/scarf/etc, i'll take a look at those too

chelly, my friend introduced me to local yarn shops this week and i have become addicted ... and very poor :)

But I have discovered the most soft yarn ever at these places!! One of my faves was a chunky alpaca one. :)

I hope I can learn to crochet someday so I can find other ways to use all this beautiful yarn.

i got a GC to a yarn shop last year and spent over an hour figuring out what to buy that i would like but wouldn't get addicted to because i can't afford it. lovely stuff. i'd like to know how to make my own, but i'm a bit lazy.

WB - i dunno if i can make another, but maybe a different variation. gotta take a breather from that one for a bit before coming back to it.

I'd do just about anything for a really cool scarf. I don't even care what it looks like.
I'll trade you something for it! Maybe one of my REALLY REALLY SIMPLE scarves? That's all lopsided and stuff? Or something from the Mizzou bookstore? (I know you live in KS, and the rivalry and all, but let's face it- Mizzou pwnd KU.)

pinkelephants - the weather is decent here. you going to be around long enough to spend some time at a coffee shop crocheting together on a weekend or something? there's no way i could base a scarf on "really cool" because my idea of that vs. yours may be way off. also, i don't follow sports. don't hate me.

khol - someday i will be awesome enough to figure out how to do a cake hat and then we'll be in business. alas, today is not that day.

hmm, maybe like you would fancy bras? gentle cycle, cold water. or hand wash it, if you can be bothered to do so. i'm a bit lazy myself.

let me know how it turns out!

if anything unravels it can be retied. if it bleeds in color maybe i can mend it (or maybe it will look good).

Chelly- sorry, it took me so long to respond, my roommate and I went to the mall.
Yeah, I'm going to be in town for a month and a half! I'd love to have a meetup and spend a day crocheting!
