![]() About the process: The first step was to find enormous replicas of brass instruments, which is not as easy as it looks. Like so many things, they seem to be EVERYwhere until you actually need one, at which point they have mysteriously vanished from the face of the earth. I eventually found these at the bottom of a strangely glowing mound in the back of a second-hand shop. After that, all I had to do was replace the barrels of these war engines with the musical instruments, don a general's hat, and have my friend take this picture with his experimental new camera that films in Halftone-o-vision™. I was hoping to do the whole thing without any Photohouse trickery, but we were never able to get the right exposure to capture the musical notes, so I admit that I did have to add that in post. I hope this has been both entertaining and instructional. If so, please take a moment to vote or comment. Thanks!
