Reprinted! - Again!

about Eclipse!

Wow, I had no idea this was being reprinted until I saw it up on the front page today. What an awesome surprise! Thanks so much to everyone who commented and voted on the original sub, and also to everyone who requested a reprint!

Some of my designs change a good deal from the initial concept to the final execution, but this one stayed almost exactly the same as the original tiny sketch I made on the edge of my notebook while we were at my wife's great-aunt's house watching dull network television last Thanksgiving. I ordered mine on Friday when they accidentally put it up for sale for a few minutes. I had been waiting for a reprint of this for a while. I really wanted an XL hoodie, too, but I think they'll be gone before I get money again...

Wouldn't Threadless send you an e-mail if you were getting reprinted? It seems strange that they'd send you your bonus reprint moolah without some kind of announcement first...

Um, shouldn't it say "sunspot" and not "eclipse"

A solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the earth and sun.

A sunspot is a slightly cooler and darker region on the surface of the sun.

but during an eclipse the moon blocks the sun from view, of course. One might say that the moon even "knocks out" the sun--totally takes it out of the picture. The Sun does indeed have a black eye but that is likely a consequence of the boxing match and not in reference to a sunspot at all.

I hate it when people overthink without thinking.

Sunspots aren't caused by the moon. Eclipses are.
