willypiva- the key is in vector file size. That is the numbe rof control points your artwork has. go to object/path/simplify. the dialog box will give you the option to preview (do this) you will see the starting number of contorl points then the reduced number. My orginal was something like 2500 contorl points. I managed to get it to 1200 with a file size of 54k.

things to note:
Mask your color changes in flash
when reducing your vector file you will lose detail.
I hope this helps. Please keep me up dated on your progress.
