So, is there a rule against designing on the backs of shirts? i know there are some printed that way, but would submissions be declined for taht? declines are made for "poor design," but it often seems like some pretty mediocre stuff makes its way through. and sometimes gets printed...

anyways, i was declined with this submission for "poor design." because i "poorly" designed a back on it?

ok, ive been noticing lately that some sub-par submissions, (in my opinion) have been winning, like "the life of death", and just today, http://www.threadless.com/submission/49373/ruido. what the hell. how does a shirt with a score of 2.07 win? i know the "i'd buy it" has to factor in, but seriously. we have alot of the same kinda shirts now, both of these being examples. both birds. then we've got the bird trail one, and then a road map of walking, and the heart subway. i liekd those though, and just bought walk instead. anyways, point being, we're losing alot of variety, and it doesnt strike me that the best or highest scoring submissions are winning. it's especially distressing when i see much more qualified designs with higher scores being passed up. i recognize the many faults in my own work, but half of my submissions have scored better than the 2 i mentioned that one. can someone please explain exactly how the selection process is carried out?

every day i see more and more jesus shirts on threadless, and all the mixed feelings are quite amusing to me. most people are now just saying that they're tired of seeing jesus on shirts, but every once in a while you get lucky and find a comment from a devout christian who takes it all way too seriously and gives you a piece of their mind. "I'm sorry you feel this way. I'll pray that you will meet some sincere Christians who will change your view on this." thats from "the fine print" shirt. i dunno, but that stuff makes me laugh, cus come on, its just a t-shirt. people are finding humor in the unknown possibilities of religion. how can scrybe, who posted taht comment, know that maybe jesus, or st. peter, or whoever, isnt sitting at the gates of heaven with his hand out saying, "bitch, you owe me money." but then again, this is all coming from an atheist. just thought i'd see if jesus freaks make anyone else laugh.

what is the f*ckin deal with someone finding a good random object, and then everyone has to make a damn shirt with it. toasters, please; over and done with. there are plenty of other random household items you could make designs about, if thats what you're into. and there have been a ton of toast shirts too. i dunno, the cutesy cartoon shirts like that bug the shit out of me for some reason. they seem like stuff you could buy at the mall, the shops taht sell poser vintage shirts and stuff like that. "ah mauna eachoo" is an awesome shirt, but after that, it ended. anyways, seeing another toaster shirt today fueled this rant.

as the only thing i will ask threadless for, (apart from printing my design on a polo) is that they make this a shirt:

travis76's work is amazing, but this is simply incredible

thanks

i resubmitted my polo design with some work done to it, in the hopes that it would be printed on a polo, a condition that all the commenters insisted upon. after almost a week of waiting i get to find out that "The reason your design was declined is: That\'s funny but we have no plans to print on a polo again. They sold terrible. "

that's very disappointing. i would so buy polos from this site. oh well. people should start making sweet designs taht work better on polos so maybe threadless will reconsider...
i think a variety of clothing styles would be awesome. especially hoodies and stuff.
