I always hate doing these. I have concluded that I only have four ways in which to answer the generic statement "tell us a little about yourself". I can give general information such as what I do for a living, where i live... so on and so forth. I don't enjoy reading these responses so I attempt to avoid this road at all costs. I can be more specific to the forum. In this case I can ramble about any achievements that I may or may not have won in the field of art and I can ramble about "Why I love art". This, however has its draw backs because I, in no way, wish to come across pompous or arrogant which this road often seems to accomplish. The third choice is to talk myself down. this is hardly worth mentioning because it gives such a mixed message. questions such as "is this guy looking for sympathy?" or, "what is this person getting at?" may cross the readers mind. So, I always go with the fourth, and in my opinion, best option. I ramble about (well, to be honest), nothing. It fills the space well, and only those that truly wish to get to know me will read into the text and attempt to decipher some form of insight into the person that I am. And. . . . . . . . . .done.
