I hate the people that score on this site

Honestly, I hate the voters on this site even more because of the comments left on my latest sub. Come on, why are people so rude.

Geez people, I mean if you guys didnt know what the thing was, you could be a little more polite about it. Granted there are a few constructive comments, it has gotten to the point where it is just ridiculous now and I see why I took such a long break from designing on this site. My sub hasn't even been up for an hour and already people are cracking on it which completely deflates my confidence in this sub and I hope it just dies so I don't have to put up with the comments. What is wrong with everyone? And I am probably gonna get some more rude comments to this blog just for speaking my mind.

once I finish my last GMail sub and this other sub I'm working on, I'm seriously going to take another break. Maybe like a 6 month break or something

i didnt have a go at you , because its not a bad idea, it's just not a particularly recognisable way of going about it. i reckon u should stick at it if ur pasionate about getting ur message across, but try and refine it a bit.

i dont resub anymore. i saw this as a failure and I wont go back to it or refine it. I have other stuff in the works that I will concentrate on and I will use this as a guide to what went wrong and to make sure it doesn't happen again in future subs

theres always going to be someone who hates your art. dont let it bother you too much. brush yourself off and become a better artists because of it.

i hope i never get to the point where everyone likes my art because then i know its not very unique and that i would have nothing to strive for

im definitely learning from this experience and will apply this to future work so it isnt a total let down. im glad there are still good people on this site and I will make sure my subs are clear in what they are trying to portray from now on.

This isn't the strongest of your work that I've seen, but I didn't have an issue with the perspective that other people seemed to have, so the comments seemed a bit harsh to me. You're a talented designer, and you should have no problem putting this behind you.

Honestly, I have spoken my mind about that guy's crap factory submissions that everyone seems to spooge all over because he's different, but it's not a GOOD t-shirt different imo. I was trying to be comical about your design and offer you some constructive criticism, don't let people like that get you down.

I really wouldn't worry too much about NGAZIN - the guy's an aggressive, posturing loudmouth. And I don't think he'd take that as an insult.

You've got to put up with idiots and criticism, and even the combination of the two. Just learn to give as good as you get.

You're going to deal with this and much worse in your life as an artist. It's important to learn to ignore the delivery of criticism and see the substance therein. There's a valid point there, it's really not easy at all to see what is happening in the sub. The concept isn't bad, but the execution is muddy.

Whether or not he's trying to hurt your feelings is moot. Critics don't care, and really, neither should you. Don't get attached to your work like that, it's counterproductive. Observe the reaction, learn your flaws, practice, and apply that knowledge to your next sub.

Take it easy. I don't think he was saying your design WAS a sack of shit, he said it looked LIKE a sack of shit, which was a terrible way of saying it but an accurate description if taken literally.

To see his work and style, you would see this is his brash way and demeanor - not a personal assault at all. He does not know you enough to care one way or the other to insult you.

Buck up. At least you only have to read the comments. I perform poetry around Honolulu and last week after a performance a girl told me she really like my work but I should go back to the mainland. She said people like me (haoles, crackers, gringos, honkeys, to be specific) make local people feel like whores. Trust me, the more you put yourself and your art out for people to see, the tougher your skin has to get. Keep at it.

I don't want to upset you- and agree- people are too mean on this site-- but at the same time-- the comment--

"looks like a sack of shit" totally made me crack up

and its why I come to this site- it makes me laugh-

People have gone into my submissions and done the same thing

it hurts- but it makes me laugh as well.
