I'm somewhat surprised but not really... your technique is very good, so you just need a concept that strikes a chord with voters.

this place is a strange and scary community... but think of it as a client, just find out what your client likes and apply your talent as a designer to create something you both can be happy with. threadless isnt usually into this kind of imagery
