well....i'm a girl/lady/woman, so i usually get girly tees unless i prefer other color combos. should have gotten a guys' shirt for this one. i must say that the squid is too light in comparison with the black of the lockness head. if the lockness head wasn't as dark, it'b cool too....but the contrast is huge. don't get me wrong, i really like this shirt a ton, but the squid does sort of get lost on it.

so.....now that i probably ensured no one would take a look at this in the blog forum given the title...not that its any info that really needs sharing, but i have post buying glee and would like to ramble...i just ordered _two_ munna shirts. one for me and one for my boyfriend. we have a cat. we say that we are going to eat her....meaning that she is soo cute and wonderful that she must be delicious, right? so anyway, its terribly corny, but we we say 'munna' to our cat sometimes, so i knew as soon as this shirt was reprinted i had to get one for myself and one for him.

anyhoo....the yellow is fine, but i think i really would have prefered it on creme/khaki....which led me into thinking about my shirt color preferences, and how it really does bite when a design you love is printed on a color you hate or in a color combo you wouldn't prefer. so far this hasn't really affected my buying decisions because i do think its worth it to get the rad design even if it is not on the best color....but as much as i'm goign to enjoy my munna shirt, i will keep thinking, gee this would have been better on creme/khaki.

i have threadless shirts in grey, red, gold, yellow, kiwi, green, light blue, dark blue, and brown.......guess i need some orange, purple, black and a light natural/white/ash/creme. ugh. me+whiteshirt=whiteshirtwithstain. but then i'd have a threadless rainbow.

the worst thing about ordering shirts is that there are always more that i want than i can afford. i would have loved to buy mmm.oranges this time. and i had to physically restrain myself from ording mypethuman and distantfuture when they were released. arg! then theres always battleship and the rubberband gun.............and of course these are only the ones that have been printed....i do have a list of unprinted ones that i would buy. ....its just too bad that money doesn't fall from the sky.

and despite having to sift through what feels like thousands of crap designs to see the good ones, i still loves me threadless.

so....for photo submissions.....to have a large picture be chosen for the product page, does it have to be a new shirt, or one thats in stock? not that i think the large photos i submitted will be chosen or anything, but yeah...just wondering.

people can be so nasty in leaving comments.

but what i think is worse is when the people reciveing the comments don't like what is said then flame the commentor. it was a few days ago, but i was thinkign about it today.....it was a mediocre shirt, i had a fe swuggestions, then saw that in reply to each of the people who had left comments (and they were actually pretty constructive comments too) the shirt creator had insulted thier shirts or their photos in thier profile. so i didn't leave a comment. i knew the return comment would regard my lack of submissions.

quite frankly, i havn't designed anything i think is worth posting. i have ideas, but i can never actualize them....they are stuck in my head. (my long standing problem with art, i have the creativity or at least feel i do, but no the talent via pens nor computers). why should this disqualify me from saying what i like or dislike about someone elses design? why would not submitting anything myself suddenly make me unable to see what i like or dislike?

i judge designs based on several things: the idea, the execution, does it work on a shirt, and would i wear it on a shirt? with the loves threadless compets, i also take into account how it relates to the theme. all these factors play into the score i give.

eh. well. thats what was on my mind.

i realized today while one of my coworkers was staring at my chest, that the missing piece is right on my nipple.

great.

well, i still love the shirt and i'm not going to stop wearing it. ;)
