Did you know that the first Threadless design challenge that resulted in our first 5 tees happened on a forum just like this before Threadless.com (the website) ever existed? About an hour after coming up with the idea to have an open call for designs and printing the best ones on tees, I started a thread on a now-defunct art community website called Dreamless.org.

Let's have a throwback challenge and recreate how Threadless started right here ... on Threadless!

(At least) One design posted in this thread will go to print and receive the full $2k cash + $500 gift certificate payment.

Here are the rules:
• You can't reuse a design you've posted in the past, must be specifically for this
• The design must fit in a 15"x15" print area on the shirt, no all-over prints
• You may only use four spot colors in your design
• You must use a basic blank t-shirt color, like Black, White, Red, Blue, etc.
• Your presentation file must be posted in this blog, it must be 640 x 480 pixels
• Do not submit your design to Threadless, you can do that later if it's not chosen here
• You can post up to 3 designs
• Vote by commenting on the designs you like
• No hating on designs, only comment if you like the design
• Starts today, ends Friday, May 13th at midnight!

I will choose the printed design based on the overall feeling I'm getting from everyone's comments about which designs are the best.
