We are super excited to announce that we’re collaborating with Society6 to launch a curated line of products called the Threadless Artist Shoppe on June 1st! Society6 is an amazing place for artists to take part in unique opportunities and sell their work on a variety of products (we're starting off with t-shirts and art prints). We’re really happy to be working with Society6 and this is just the first step towards providing more opportunities for more artists to get their work out to a whole new set of eyes.

Here's all you have to do to be one of the first to participate:

1) Sign up as an artist on Society6
2) Set up your Studio and post your work up for sale
3) Click this link and apply to be considered as part of the Threadless Artist Shoppe
4) …wait for it...
5) Make big bucks - you'll earn royalties on all your sales!

Even if your work is not selected at first for the Threadless Artist Shoppe, your t-shirts and prints are still immediately available for purchase through your Society6 Studio, and automatically eligible to be sold through the online stores of Society6's other retail partners, like Urban Outfitters. Whoa.

You have one week to submit to be part of the launch so no dilly-dallying!

Does anyone know what the green tick and the little circle with a number in it mean? They appear in the top left corner of people's society6 pages, just above their photo.

the little pink circle is the year joined
the green check is a verified account (that account can sell their work)
then there's the Facebook and Twitter symbols, stating that the account is connected to both websites.

I'm still confused.

I have an AI file at the actual dimensions (20" x 17")

If I just save this as a jpg is that good enough quality to upload as a print for sale?

Bram, yes. Keep jpeg at 100 quality (dont save for web), at 300dpi (when exporting to raster or if you open it in pshop and save there) and you're all set. It will be available in all sizes that the size works for without distortion.

I just got notified today that more of my artwork has been added to the Threadless shop (thanks guys!).

I think if you put something up for sale it is automatically considered for the shop, the application was to be part of the release I think.
Chengui
   Chengui on Jun 21 '10 at 7:18pm
I say that because Urban Outfitters added me to THEIR shop and I didn't have to apply or anything.

I submitted today and I had to click a link that said something like "make your work eligible for sale with our retail partners." But yeah I don't think you have to directly apply to UO/Threadless to be considered.

weird, the only piece of mine that seems to be selling well is "Moving to Moscow", a design that never even printed.
