We will be making some small changes to Threadless in the next few days (really the biggest of which is a whole new checkout process and centering Threadless within your browser!) so it becomes part of the loop...

Please feel free to post any bugs you find, we're still tweaking things a little bit.

You can't submit a typetee as a design submission. You can only submit a typtee slogan or a threadless design submission. There's no crossover. If that makes sense...

So does that mean this would be declined if submitted to the regular contest?

we already have a kids site http://www.threadlesskids.com but it is getting an overhaul, very soon.

I feel like my comment might of got burried because it was second to last comment on the page but the re design is awesome the only thing I'd like changing is to have a blog tab. If I'm browsing the threadless select site or the type tee site at the moment and I want to go to the blog you have to click on the threadless tab then on blogs.

I know its just a few more clicks but still it would be nice to have a quick link.

I hear what you're saying, but the blogs are part of threadless, not typetees or select. obviously, you'll still be able to talk about select or typetees on the blogs, but their association is with threadless.

it'll all make more sense when the new threadless changes go up but yea, select and type tees are going to be separate brands now... there will be lots of cross promotion but a threadless tee will only be a tee that has gone through the design submit/scoring process and such, a typetee will be a tee based on a submitted slogan and select tees will be artist-invite tees only

Well if their separate brands shouldn't the threadless blog be moved to a completely separate tab? If its just on the threadless tab then it kind of suggests you can only talk about threadless and not select or type tees. Even if that isnt your intention.

I don't think having the blogs under the Threadless tab is going to limit our discussion to Threadless tees.

it'll be interesting to see if this shift impacts the likelihood of printing for any type-based threadless submissions.

it wouldn't impact it anymore that it does now - which is to say... pretty much none at all. the only time there's an impact is if a design gets declined for "submit as a typetee". this would be like if you submitted a black tee with white plain type that had a slogan on it - no design. the reason for breaking typetees off as it's own brand was so it could grow. we couldn't compromise good threadless designs just because of typetees.

if you want a blogs tab, then set your threadless link to go directly to the blogs.

this is interesting. i get uncomfortable about change but i love organization. and threadless has too many shirts printed to not be organized.

another big reason why we did this is that it seemed like a lot of the people who enjoy the type tees don't necessarily like select tees and vice versa - they are kinda for two different audiences and there are also different stories behind how they are made. this lets us break it out and have seperate sites for different types of people, to better highlight the different types of tees. and if you do happen to like both you can easily go between them.

they will all be showcased on monday in a slightly different way ... and when it's set up, if you click a select or typetee it will take you to the appropriate site

First of all, thanks for using Threadless! I spent many long, sleepless nights building this website! Shondi, my wife, is the best! Right now she is smiling like a little frog.

We live in Chicago and have 2 dogs, Norman and Sophie. We work together for skinnyCorp, a company Jacob and I started back in late 2000 along with this very site you're on right now, Threadless!

Since then, we've built all kinds of neat community driven websites and absolutely love doing it. Hoorah!
