The rat died in the rest of the artwork, is a little story, the cd label itself is the dead rat in a mouse trap, so it's the revenge of it, or time has just passed by. The design did use parts of the cd cover, but turned into a fairly generic design since this music scenario / style for any reason has or have had skulls linked to it. This what I was complaining, that out of so many possible different designs that were submitted, and based on the style of their merchandise (some are way better than this) which has a pop culture feel to it, this one feel in common ground. Is great technically, just the idea that didn't quite work.

This is a response to the three people below this post who don't understand the Flatfoot 56 reference in this shirt. It's a clever play on the cover art of the bands 2010 album "Black Thorn". On the album cover, there is a captain with a moustache, pipe and hat (like on this shirt) staring down a rat. That captain is now dead and the rat has taken up residence in his skull. I don't even listen to flatfoot and I worked that out in about 10 seconds. Why are people who claim to be fans having so much trouble? The title of the shirt "Black Thorn" should have been a clue. Big congrats to the artist on a clever idea and awesome design.

Extremely disappointed with Threadless for choosing something that nothing to do with an awesome band. I guess such a bland design can be sold to any public, except the fans. Where's the death reference with the band?
