The body of the bird isn't solid white - it is slightly distressed for both the normal and select versions.
The wings of the peacock in the original design are not distressed at all, but the select versions do have a slight distressed texture to it - this was done specifically for the 'select' range, though I have not actually seen a select version close up. The pics of other people wearing it look pretty cool though.

Sorry to say, but I bought this tank recently and the screenprinting quality was very poor. The bottom wings of the peacock were barely visible with very little ink screened through the design and other parts of the bird either patchy or clumpy. I checked against the design as shown in the close up on the pic and the shirt I received is definitely lacking. The body of the bird is also not a solid white but has random drop out in tones, just so you know. I can't quite tell from the pic on the website if that's intentional part of the design but it wasn't what I was expecting. I think it may have something to do with variations in the fabric composition some parts maybe repelling the ink?? Anyway mine looks like a seconds.
