Well this certainly took a long time coming! Ironically the title of this design is a massive contradiction to the real life "Surfers Paradise" on the Gold Coast, Australia. This illustration spurred from a little day dream of what I wished the real Surfers Paradise was - kept pure, green and natural rather than the Aussie Miami concrete jungle it has become.
