I said this in the comments of the original submission, since several people have contacted me saying they "came up" with this idea.
It is a mere coincidence, and these things happen.
This is not that original of an idea (the original clearly looks like the guy is biting her, so it was easy to associate it with zombies) , composition (all iterations of this will look the same; it's taken directly from a photograph) and even name. I just thought I was the first to do it, but I'm not at all surprised that someone thought of it before me.
Again, these things happen, and people submit iterations of the same idea all the time without knowing that someone else already has.
My college teacher was wearing this shirt in class and I really love it. I have never heard of this website and I was directed by her to check it out; I am now hooked. I hope there is a reprint in time for Christmas. Also I followed April's link to the other design and I have to say that this can stand on its own and I would not consider it a rip off. The lines are cleaner and overall has a great deal of difference. For a tshirt design it works much better than the other artist, who I believe used the same concept for a comic cover.
