Speech bubble is slapped on there as an afterthought and takes away from the design. The realistic dino clashes with the cartoony kids.

I know what you're doing here, but even setting aside the fact that I'm pretty much over "look! it's the same character but REALISTIC!" designs, this isn't quite there yet.

The HEY KIDS! is horrible looking, maybe make it in the fun timez Barney n' Friends style of the DVD cover typo, but the idea itself is something I can't believe I've never seen before, one of the few "turning something playful and cartoonish into its realistic counterpart" ideas that really strikes me as innovative.

Maybe have him saying "I love you, you love me!" which is more recognizable, as well as one kid standing in frozen fear (possible pee running down the leg) and another running frantically away.

Great -although some elements could be improved

I'd lose the text as surely any catchphrase would be a litigation issue. If I was you, I would re-work this and add some black outline and highlights. You could color the kids in too.

I think the text/speech bubble needs to fit in with the drawing style a bit more, and maybe some slight shadowing on the characters. But it is a nice design :)

@Everyone who Wished the kids were colored: Excuse me about the kids being black and white. I left them BW to represent their emotion for being Utterly shocked by their purple friend's actual appearance.

I disagree about getting rid of the text. My tired mind simply saw a purple and green t-rex until I saw the words, and then I literally laughed out loud.

I also kinda prefer the kids being in black and white.

The "Hey kids!" is better than "I love you, you love me!" in my opinion, because no thing (person or dinosaur) would appear and sing that without giving a greeting first, and this is obviously the first meeting of "Barney" and the kids (otherwise they wouldn't be as horrified).
