If everyone on this blog, promoted everyone on this list every time they posted something, then we would dominate the front page every day, but... we don't.

Does anyone know if there is any major catch to allow your products to be sold (if chosen) through Society6's reatail partners?

there are 35 people listed above, so if everyone on that list promoted a new post by any single person up there they would instantly jump to the main page and stay they for the week. I have notice by being on the front page you get more promotions because you have visibility to a group of people that would normally not see your posts.

plus it seems it can draw traffic back to threadless if you put something that is scoring up. I have slowly been putting you guys up on stumbleapon

Not really - you have to have been promoted so many times within a specific time frame to hit the "popular" criteria to make the front page.

So if everyone promoted one person (or one design) in a single day over a certain time period...it would have to be coordinated.
